Dissemination activities were strengthened through multiple initiatives, including the sponsorship of Summer Schools such as the 1st Summer School on Deformation in Robotics organized by the Cristal Lab, and active participation in major conferences like the 48th Biomechanics Society Congress, CAOS, MICCAI, CRAS, IHM’24, and RITS. The community also contributed to international challenges, notably M2CAI and BraTS at MICCAI.
Since 2015, visibility and impact have been further enhanced through the French Surgery Academy CAMI Awards, which annually recognize young clinicians with the “Surgical Technology Innovation” Prize. Among the laureates, 3 women and 6 men, there were 4 neurosurgeons, 1 orthopedic surgeon, 2 gynecologic surgeons, 1 ENT surgeon, and 1 hepatic surgeon, acknowledged for advances in imaging (e.g., speckle imaging), innovative robotic approaches, augmented reality, and patient-specific guides and planning.
