A look back at the LabEx CAMI Closing Event: 12 years of innovation successfully celebrated!

On 14 November 2024, the scientific, medical and industrial community gathered at the WTC (World Trade Center) in Grenoble to mark the end of the LabEx CAMI (Laboratory of Excellence in Computer-Assisted Medical and Surgical Interventions). This closing event highlighted the exceptional achievements of this emblematic programme, which will have marked 12 years of major advances in the medical field.

A day of scientific excellence

The Closing Event offered a retrospective of the work carried out within the LabEx CAMI, organised around three thematic axes:

  • Perception, Reasoning, Action, with technological innovations that are redefining the standards of medical and surgical interventions.
  • Improving surgical quality, particularly in the learning of medical and surgical procedures thanks to digital assistance solutions.
  • Industrial and clinical transfers, demonstrating the tangible impact of research on everyday medical practice.

A long-term impact

We would like to take this opportunity to celebrate not only the results achieved, but also the dynamism created by the LabEx CAMI in the field of computer-assisted medical and surgical interventions.

Many thanks to all the teams involved, especially Sandrine Voros, Jocelyne Troccaz and Philippe Cinquin, the project coordinators. Thanks also to the industrial partners, and to the many participants who came to share this memorable day.

Together, we have written an important page in medical innovation in France.
